Abdullah Gul: Abdullah Gul is the Turkis Politician. He was the former Prime Minister of Turkey between 2002 to 2003. He ruled as a Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister between 2003 to 2007. Abdullah Gul was the 11th President of Turkey. He was in power as a President from 2007 to 2014. He is currently a member of the advisory panel of the Islamic Development Bank. He is the co-founder of the Justice and Development Party (AKP) with Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

First Life: Abdullah Gul was born in Kayseri in 1950. His father is Ahmed Hamdi Gul. His father was a retired Air Force Engineer. Abdullah Gul studied economics at Istanbul University. In 1983, he was received his Ph.D. from the University of Istanbul. He worked at the Islamic Development Bank in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia from 1983 to 1991. He was awarded an honorary Ph.D. degree from Amity University in Noah on February 8, 2009. LLD degree was given by Dhaka University on 13 February 2010.
Prime Minister: The AK Party won the 2002 elections. Abdullah Gul was appointed as a Prime Minister. Recep Tayyip Erdogan could not run in the election due to Political sanctions. Gul’s government enacted legislation to get Erdogan back into politics. In 2003, Erdogan took charge as the Prime Minister. Abdullah Gul was appointed as Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister.
Foreign Minister: After taking over as foreign minister in 2003, he sought to boost diplomatic relations with other countries. He has met with the European Union. He tried to do good relations with Syria. He traveled to the United States in 2008 to meet with US President George W. Bush.
President: On 24 April 2007, Prime Minister Erdogan announced that Gul nominated as a presidential candidate from AK Party in the 2007 Presidential election. His candidacy was blocked by secular parties and the Military. That year, the AK party won in the general election. The AK Party renominated Gul as the Presidential Candidate. On 28 August 2007, he was elected as a President by Parliament. And became he was the 11th President of Turkey.
