First world war:  First world war is the most important fact in our world. It changes the map of our world. Four empires fell after this war and many countries gained independence. It is also known as the Great war. The first world war starts on 26 July 1914 in Europe and that war ended on 11 November 1918. After 21 years, World War II was started.  

The cause of the first world war: On June 16, 1914, in the Bosnian capital, Sarajevo. The Austrian prince Archduke Franz Ferdinand was shot dead by a Serb. Austria-Hungary blamed Serbia for the killings and declared war on Serbia on July 26 of that year. Friendly countries of the two countries gradually became involved in this war. It was joined by all the economically powerful countries of that time. They began the first world war (1914-1918).

Which countries were involved: Many countries and empires are involved? They were divided into two parts. One is the Axis force and the other is the Allies forces.

Member of the Axis forces:

  • Austria-Hungary.
  • Bulgaria.

Contracts of Axis force:

Ottoman-German alliance on August 2, 1914.

Bulgaria-German on September,6 (secret) Agreement on 14 October 1915 (public).

This power was started in 1899 by the alliance between German-Hungary. The Ottoman Empire and Bulgaria did not join the war until it started.

The number of war costs: The war cost about 16 billion in direct and 151 billion in indirect costs. Which is far more than any war cost ever made.

The result of the war: Four Empires fell. The Russian Empire in 1917, the German and Austro-Hungarian in 1918. And the Ottoman Empires in 1922. Austria, Czechoslovakia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, and Turkey developed as independent states. Most of the Arab territories under the ottoman Empire were British and came under the French France empire. In 1918 the Bolsheviks came to power in Russia and in 1922 the Fascists came to power in Italy. Another consequence of this war is the Influenza virus kills 50 million people worldwide.
