Muawiya Ibn Yazid: Muawiya Ibn Yazid was the 3rd Caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate. He was the son of Yazid Ibn Muawiya. He was known as Muawiya II in history. Muawiya Ibn Yazid was the last Caliph of the Sufyanid line. He was ruled for a short time. He was ruled from 683 to 684 of the Umayyad Caliphate as a Caliph.

First Life: Muawiya Ibn Yazid was the son of Yazid I. His Mother’s name unknown, his mother from the Kalb tribe. His mother’s father, Abu Hashim Ibn Utbah ibn Rabi’ah was appointed governor of Basra and his mother married Yazid I in 660 AD.
Comes to Power: In November 683, Muawiya Ibn Yazid came to power as a caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate. He has come to power after the death of his father. Muawiya Ibn Yazid was an Umayyad Caliph for about four months after the death of his father Yazid.
The period of his Kingdom: The Muslims were mocked about the Muawiya II. Its reason was two. The first reason is that during his father’s reign, Imam Hussein’s murder, Macca and Madinah attacked. The second reason is that the common man did not know anything about the Muawiya II. When Muawiya announced that there would be a ceasefire, it was almost universally praised, as it ended the war in the Holy Places. Muawiya II declared that the battle of Medina and Mecca was foolish and reprehensible and that the Kaaba had been damaged.
Death: The second Muawiya death has been identified as jaundice and the plague. But the cause of his death is not clear. He had no children. And he did not nominate his successor. The Marwan I took charge as the Caliph of the Umayyad Caliphate.
